Patty at the Cowgirl

Good evening all, It was quite an interesting and not so relaxing day, but it was fun! Cleaned my bike and put on the new tires so hopefully fewer flats. Pat and Cindi asked me if i wanted to ride the bus to the Old Town district and I thought it was a good idea at the time. It is fun mixing it up with the locals on the bus and most of them are quite willing to help us explore their city. Since we were hungry, we went to lunch at the Cowgirl BBQ. The food was fantastic and we had a few beers and were joined bu a couple of friends from across the pond Tony and John. There was a live band and we listened to some really great C&W music. One gentleman outside the grill did some air guitar for our benefit and I captured him on film. This is were it got interesting as I went “shopping” with Pat and Cindi. We came upon a pottery establishment Heidi Loewen Porcelain si we went in to take a look. She is a fantastic artist and as we chatted she said that she gives porcelain classes. To make a long story short, the three of us took the class and each of us created 2 porcelain pies. Heidi will glaze and fire them and ship then to us when the tour is over. It was great fun and she kept us entertained with wine, almonds, chocolate and great conversation. Probably the worst part for me was the floral pink apron that i had to wear when molding the clay. Pat said that she’d share the photo but i am not sure that i want to post it. We had dinner back at the hotel and Pat and Cindi invited Lucy from Hawaii to dine with us as she was alone. It was good conversation although we are all tired at this point. I will try to post some photos asap. Cheers Chuck
